Insomnia Percussion Trio
Taiwanese percussionists Yung-Tuan Ku, Yu-Ling Chiu and I-Han Fu founded “Insomnia Percussion Trio” in 2010. They met each other in 2008 while studying percussion with professor Jer-Huei Chen together in Taiwan. In 2012 they won the second prize and Adi Mootz prize for the best interpretation of “Rain Tree” by Toru Takemitsu in International Percussion Competition in Luxembourg. In 2014 they gave concerts entitled “Three Idiots” in both Conservatorium van Amsterdam and Taipei National Recital Hall. In January 2015 the trio was invited to perform as part of the AAA Festival Muziek en Kunst Amsterdam<China Here> in Concertgebouw and with Nieuw Ensemble in Muziekgebouw aan’t IJ. In the summer of 2015, they were invited to perform in the Soltau in Germany, and held many concerts in the NJO Muziekzomer. They are also frequently involved with Ensemble 1002 from Taiwan.
Story was Yung-Tuan's Master final exam. It awarded as audience price in AHK Eindwerkprijs 2015. It contains works of James Wood, Jack Body, Claude Debussy, and collaboration with soprano Vanja Shcoch, Visaul artist Anastasiia Libchenko.
