House of Spr!tzl - a theatrical film of fevered talents @ Silbersee

This year has challenged us to find new ways to present our Spr!tzl-creators and Vrijplaats-talents. With cinematographer Bowie Verschuuren, visual artist Jamel Armand, visual artist and composer Frank van der Steen and under the artistic direction of Romain Bischoff, we developed a film scenario in which all talents, in their respective disciplines, each have their own moment to shine. 20th of July, we will present to you here: House of Spr!tzl - a theatrical film of fevered talents @ Silbersee.

The picturesque Museum van Loon (Amsterdam, NL) forms the stage where a history of museums is brought together with a musical present, and some talents from the future. In this lyrical film-performance—at points almost like a fever dream—the performers don’t leave a single room unused, while the cold portraits on the walls of the museum transform into an attentive audience… House of Spr!tzl - a theatrical film of fevered talents @ Silbersee is a layered, audiovisual document in which narrator Guus van der Steen, spoken word artist and by now a regular at Silbersee, takes you on a multidisciplinary trip through the House of Spr!tzl.

With this film, the talents who were part of Silbersee’s Spr!tzl give us their business card, forming a warm invitation to keep following them in their future endeavors.

With Spr!tzl, Silbersee signals promising new talents and guides them with their ‘creator-ship’ towards the future. In this studio for young makers the boundaries between music and theatre are further pushed, examined and enriched. This years Spr!tzl-makers were Jerzy Bielski, Yung-Tuan Ku and King Sisters.
